Fundraising

If you missed the early posts, you may not realise that we are also fundraising for the One Hundred for 100 campaign.

One Hundred for 100:

One Hundred for 100 is a campaign to fund the building for a women’s shelter in India for women who have been sold to the sex trafficking industry. Human-trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings. It is the 2nd largest and fastest growing crime in the world and generates profits of 32 billion US dollars a year, because these girls unlike drugs can be sold over and over again. This campaign is seeking 100 pledges to raise $1000 each, so that with $100 000 a shelter  and a future can be built for these women.
Although we have reached our $1000 pledge - let's push for $2000!
With this $100 000, they are working to help restore lives, with the ultimate plan of establishing a women’s shelter. They want to ensure the best care possible in the best place possible; because no one is more deserving than the women others have deemed worthless. This shelter would provide each woman counselling, psychiatric treatment, education and opportunities to learn new skills. This home will be a caring place for women to come and feel safe, loved and valued.
