By pushing ourselves today we would make the climb to Cruz de Ferro a little easier tomorrow. Also we had booked a hotel in Ponferrada where we would stay two nights (I didn't want to walk on Christmas).
Everyday we pass many abandoned houses.
Today was no exception and we passed a few more. This one appeared to be haunted!
The climb up to Foncebadon was OK, but once we got high enough we were above the clouds & it was two very hot (and one purple-faced) pilgrims that got into the town.
As towns go, this was a real one horse town but there was a larger goat population!
I think the town exists solely for pilgrims.
Andrew wondering what his next move should be!
The Albergue was great though and we had a fantastic meal with three others, a Korean, Japanese & an Italian (walked into a bar?)
Dinner was penne pasta & a tomato based sauce. A Galician soup & fried pork fillets, cheese & eggs.
The Italian guy was very friendly but had virtually no English. As we were to discover he was a bit of a fanatic too. Regularly doing 45K days!
