Of course, we ignored that!
The problem with the recommended route is that it is beautifully straight and level with a fine gravel and non slippery dry surface! The guidebook called it a soulless senda and a waste of money! We thought it was a beautiful walking surface!
Panorama of soulless road — looks pretty good to me!
Not long before arriving in Carrion we came across an encouraging sign (that's a lot less than 790km):
Andrew interacting with one of the natives:
¿Qué tal?
(We think that means "How're they hangin'?")
And ignored as usual!
Arriving at Carrion, we were surprised to see Thibaud again who is staying the night here as well.
